As an Honors Graduate from The Center for Media in New York City, Chepell Chase worked extensively as an assistant editor at The Tape House Editorial Company, rapidly rising through the ranks to become a Duplication Manager and Post Production Supervisor as he embarked on a highly productive journey into television and film media. In his role as Live Events Production Engineer with the Globix Corporation he directed and engineered projects for companies such as Verizon, Ford Motors and Xerox which allowed him further experience in a field in which he was exceptionally suited. Continuing his voyage and hoping to encompass his entrepreneurial spirit, he joined forces with Producer/Director Ralph Mc Daniels and Editor Judd Parsons to run their New York City based boutique-editing facility Majestic Video. Chepell held the position of General Manager/Supervising Producer. Over the years Chepell has produced and directed two independent feature films and has over 50 credits as a Director/Producer and Post Producer on film and media projects. These credentials come from a bevy of recognized media outlets such as ABC Television, Black Entertainment Television, Emmis Communications, and others. His recent projects have included a two part special for broadcast, Tavis Smiley Presents: The Road to Health Obesity & Our Children. This was a joint venture between The Smiley Group and The TV-One Network and Chepell's own New York based digital media company, Shoot Em Up Film Media Inc. Recently he served as post producer on B.E.T J's new interview talk show Parallel Paths, and its gospel music video show "Lifted" which is now in its 2nd season. His biggest challenge was the much anticipated 8th Annual State of the Black Union mini-series which aired this fall on the TV-One network which chronicled the 400 year anniversary of the history of Jamestown Virginia and the historical impact of African Americans in North America. Beyond the confines of television and film, Chepell has produced the annual Spring / Summer and Fall / Winter DVDs for Gucci America for the past 4 years. With a general love for all forms of media, Chepell has also dipped into the world of Web Production, earning himself credits on several multimedia websites including the production and design of an e commerce portal for legendary singer Nina Simone With such vast experience and understanding of his craft, Chepell knows how to create a compelling project from start to finish. He is one of the next generation of producer/directors that has studied the foundation of his mentors, and injected digital technology as a way to improve the way we are exposed to unique and untold stories.
