Daniel Domachowski was the first in his graduating class of high school to attend any classes at a post-secondary institution. He was actually already attending film classes at the Art Institute of Vancouver while writing his Provincials. A couple of months after graduating film school, Daniel took on the role of production manager on Rick Alyea's debut feature film, 'Part of the Game' which competed at the Whistler Film Festival fro the Borsos Award. Soon after, he teamed up with Rick again to co-produce and P.M. his second feature film, 'Caught Up' and his first short, 'Puck This', which screened in Calgary, St. Louis, Edmonton and Omaha International Film Festivals along with airing on the CBC Network. In 2005, along with two colleagues, Daniel launched the first annual 72 hour M.A.D. Film Festival in honor of the cancer foundation, Making A Difference, that was established by the young Michael Cuccione. The MAD Film Festival is the only one of its kind in Canada, where 100% of the proceeds go directly to his foundation.
