Northern Irish composer/producer Eoin O'Callaghan is as much an architect as he is an artist. A true world builder, he effortlessly blends the realms of electronica, acoustic & classical, always experimenting and combining analogue instruments with unique methods of recording and composition. His album 'Borders', an audio/visual collaboration with Ryan Vail, was awarded the Northern Irish Music Prize for Best Album in 2019. The album's retelling of a world without Borders has resonated in their native Ireland and beyond. As well as a touring artist, Eoin is a composer for film and TV. In 2019 he composed and recorded the soundtrack for 'Heyday, The Mic Christoper Story'. This heartfelt story charts singer-songwriter Mic Christopher's humble beginnings busking on the streets of Dublin, told through the eyes of Oscar-winner Glen Hansard, writer/actor Sharon Horgan, Mike Scott of The Waterboys, Bronagh Gallagher, Josh Ritter, Lisa Hannigan, Rónán Ó'Snodaigh and many more. Eoin's ongoing soundtrack work includes a new six part BBC series called 'Blue Lights'. Created and written by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, Blue Lights follows three rookie police officers working in Belfast, a uniquely dangerous place to be a police officer and stars Siân Brooke (Sherlock, Good Omens), Martin McCann (Marcella, Sentinel), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones, Fortitude), Katherine Devlin (The Dig, Vikings), Nathan Braniff, John Lynch (Tin Star, The Fall), Jonathan Harden (Time, Unforgotten) and Valene Kane (The Fall, Gangs of London). As well as composing and producing his own work, he has written and produced music alongside Moya Brennan, Ryan McMullan, Guillem Balague and Stephen James Smith.
