Christina Rodgers was born in Kansas City, Missouri to an African American father and an Irish/German mother. Her father was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air force for her entire childhood and never resided in the states. When she was 6 years old her mother relocated to Baltimore, Maryland and that is where Christina spent the majority of her adolescent years. Shortly after moving to Baltimore, Christina joined the local track team as merely a way to meet new friends, but discovered that her athletic ability was not the "average, run of the mill". She became one of the fastest middle distance runners in her age group and went on to compete in many state and national championships. Christina's athletic career ended abruptly while in high school due to a serious knee injury. She was determined to find another "hobby" to devote her attention to and it was no surprise that her love of "performing" on the track would lead her straight to "performance" on the stage. Christina was immediately successful landing the lead at her very first audition playing "Annie", and went on to be cast in every production that followed. Rodgers then went on with multiple scholarships to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she majored in Political Science and minored in Professional Theatre. She has always been extremely strong minded and opinionated hence her desire to also pursue more knowledge concerning the way that government and politics are run in our country. Christina not only honed her talent in the theatre while in college but also wrote and produced many student films. While at NCA&TSU, Rodgers also competed in numerous beauty pageants and has a hand full of titles to her name. Ms. Rodgers is the founder and CEO of the non-profit organization entitled The CURE, which is an acronym for Creating Us Reflecting Excellence. Her organization focuses on emphasizing the pursuit of excellence in mind, body and spirit and has mentored countless youth throughout the state of North Carolina. She now resides in Los Angeles, fully dedicating her efforts to developing a professional acting career. She has in her first year, signed with two well-respected agencies, booked 5 independent films, 2 pilots, 3 commercials, and 2 hosting jobs. She has also received extensive training in scene study at one of the most well respected venues in the business, The Ivanna Chubbuck Studio, and continues to participate in workshops as well as USC and LMU student films with the desire to hone her craft. Christina Rodgers is an actor, model, writer, producer and CEO committed to excellence and there is no limit to what her future has in-store!
