Jan Milligan

One of four siblings, Jan was born and grew up on an old farm in the remote coastal countryside of Cornwall, United Kingdom, to an American mother and British father; of primarily Greek, Russian, Scottish and Eastern European descent. Jan was always compelled to perform, practicing card magic growing up, and he started playing the guitar when he was around nine years old and pursued music and theatre in college. He went on to London and landed a very competitive audition to study at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood. After earning his degree in Theatre and many subsequent performances, he was spotted by an agent during a performance of Noel Coward's Present Laughter, directed by Ian Ogilvy. Subsequently he has participated in a number of television and film roles including his portrayal of renowned artist Isamu Noguchi opposite Emily Mortimer in Leonie (2010), a USA/Japan produced biopic based on the remarkable true story of Leonie Gilmour. Jan worked many years as Vice President and Lead Creative Photographer and Designer at a highly successful U.S. company. He also lived in Central Europe for a few years and began work on his own company, with the aim of donating a percentage of proceeds to benefit environmental causes. Jan is also a vegan, and strongly advocates for environmental awareness, protection of the natural world and wildlife conservation. With talent representation in both London and Los Angeles, Jan continues to pursue the arts. A passionate reader and writer, Jan is also a devoted student of the sciences, notably psychology and philosophy and he is writing his own dramatic stage play. Passionate for photography and graphic design, he is highly proficient in the Adobe design suite. Jan loves travelling and outdoor sports and is very athletic. He especially loves surfing and skiing; and he runs or mountain bikes every day. Jan is also a student of Warner Loughlin Studios, a professional private acting studio in Hollywood.
