Albert Beckles is an English professional bodybuilder. Participant of more than 100 competitions in bodybuilding. It is famous for its sport longevity and phenomenally developed pointed peak of the biceps. Albert Bekles was born on the island of Barbados, which was a colony of Great Britain. Since 10 he was engaged in weightlifting, which allowed him to improve his strengths and gain muscle mass. Moving to England Albert seriously engaged in powerlifting. He entered into military service, having concluded a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain for a period of 20 years. During the service he was able to keep in shape. After retirement, Beckles began to train hard. His training regime was very intense. He practiced twice a day seven times a week. Soon he received a professional IFBB card and immediately won two wins at the "Mr. Universe" in 1971 and 1973. After this success, his career lasted more than 20 years. During this time, Beckles took part in more than a hundred competitions, ten of which he won. Beckles participated 13 times in the tournament Mr. Olympia - it was the record of the IFBB. Six times he was in the top five. The biggest success at the "Mr. Olympia" 2nd place in 1985, then the 55 year old athlete lost in the finals to 26-year-old opponent, the future 8-fold champion Lee Haney. Albert Beckles completed his professional career in 1992 at the age of 62 years.
